On October 14, 2022 The Narragansett Electric Company d/b/a Rhode Island Energy, in consultation with the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources and the Rhode Island Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, issued an RFP for Long-term Contracts for Offshore Wind Energy Projects pursuant to the Affordable Clean Energy Security Act, R.I. Gen. Laws ch. 39-31, signed into law by Governor McKee on June 29, 2022.
